The Fourth International Conference of the Spanish Society for Linguistic Historiography will be held at the Faculty of Philology of the University of La Laguna (Tenerife, Canary Islands), 22-25 October 2003.
The Spanish Society for Linguistic Historiography (SEHL) has promoted from its very beginning the organization of international conferences with the aim of facilitating the meeting and exchange of ideas among its members and researchers, as well as of divulging the historiographic knowledge of different subjects mainly developed within the Hispanic scope, such as Philology, Grammar, Rhetoric, Semantics, Pragmatics, etc.
The First International Conference was held at the University of Coruña in February 1997, the second one, at the University of León in March 1999 and the third one, in the University of Vigo in February 2001.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers must be original and deal with any aspect of linguistic historiography. Submissions (one page maximum) must include a seven-line abstract and a summary. They will be typed in Times New Roman (12) and 1.5 spaced lines. Two printed copies (enclosing the author’s name, University and e-mail address) must be submitted, before February 28 2003, to the Fourth Conference Organizing Committee, either by fax (+34 922317611) or by post (Universidad de La Laguna. Facultad de Filología. Campus de Guajara, s/n. 38071. La Laguna. S/C. de Tenerife. España). You must also e-mail a copy of the manuscript in Microsoft Word 7.0 for Windows to the following address: cohisgra@ull.es.
The selection will be done anonymously, after hearing the opinion of the Scientific Committee. The Organizing Committee will inform you about the paper acceptance in the Conference web page ( webpages.ull.es/users/cohisgra) before the end of April 2003.
